This website features BIG Ed Beckley, a remarkable motorcycle stuntman who had a successful, long time career from 1973 thru 1994 . He recently returned to his daredevil lifestyle after taking a break from jumping for 18 years.
BIG Ed is back . . . . but not without some drama. His ill-fated return happened January 6th, 2012 in Salt Lake inside the Maverik Center when he crashed his trusty old Harley 600 Rotax jumping bike while doing a warm up jump. After two days in intensive care and another 2 days in trauma he walked out of the hospital and drove himself back to Texas. His motorcycle was almost destroyed and he knew he needed more power.
Big Ed healed up and regrouped, had a new custom-built, specially-designed motorcycle and came back to his destiny June 23rd, 2012. On that day, he jumped 10 cars in Billings, Montana in front of a huge grandstand full of people, on his new Harley-Davidson jump bike built by Curt Winter of BTR MOTO of Hayward, California
BIG ED takes a BIG BIKE!
The “Evil Twin” built by Curt Winter of www.btrmoto.com is the ride and it is 2,000cc – 144 horsepower – work of art. In fact it finished 3rd place in the World Championship Biker Build-off in this years Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
We hope you find some of the information here entertaining and informative and we invite to interact and follow along with BIG ED on face book.
As BIG ED says, “This is going to be a WILD RIDE. Hold tight till your knuckles turn white!”
